    • Teach psychologically-informed, tipping point, and grassroots leadership ideas and skills and applications to public health professionals

    • Give psychologically-informed input and recommendations to public health agencies developing strategic plans.
    • Offer psychologically-informed and innovative exterior and interior design recommendations for new and reconfigured public health buildings and clinics, so as to optimize public usage and staff morale and productivity.

                                                        
    Public Health Preparedness---Emergency Preparedness and Response

    • Give tailored psychologically-informed perspectives in conception, review, recommendations, writing, and implementation of public health preparedness (PHP), emergency preparedness and response (EP&R), and surge capacity plans [see posted papers under these topics in Publications].
    • Provide professional expertise in conception, review, recommendations, writing, and implementation of behavioral health surge capacity plans for public and private behavioral health, public health, general health care, and government organizations [see posted papers under these topics in Publications].
    • Lend added value in other EP&R endeavors such as tabletop and mock disaster response exercises, community preparedness strategies, and training and education, especially as it relates to psychologically-based and behavioral health aspects of disasters and terrorism, at all levels [see relevant posted papers in Publications].

                                                                   
    Business Enterprises for Public Health

    • Provide companies with ongoing subject matter expertise, evaluation, and recommendations on staffing, development, and marketing of ideas and products being considered for the public health sector.
    • Enable companies to successfully and maximally engage the public health sector for business opportunities, by giving them a tailored education and understanding of the public health “culture” as well as providing a direct means of facilitated introduction and ongoing liaison within that sector.
    • Give tailored guidance to business enterprises on the development of psychologically-informed aspects and components for their disaster preparedness disaster plans.
    • Apply psychologically-informed expertise to the assessment of businesses’ 
            advertising projects and make recommendations to clarify, modify, or enhance
            their overall effectiveness, as requested.

                    

    Health Care Services Management and Facilities

    • Provide psychologically-informed and innovative assessment of the factors that have caused undesired trends in patient satisfaction, patient loyalty, and public image/”branding” against the health care facility or system, and make recommendations to reverse these trends.
    • Contribute creative and psychologically-informed perspectives on the design of health care facility spaces, their use, and their impact on patient health/healing.

     

    Health Care and Public Health Communications
         

    • Tailor best psychologically-informed risk communication and knowledge communication responses for public health, environmental health, and community health problems.
    • Enhance public health “branding” with conceptual, illustrated, and written products to maximize public involvement in routine and emergency public health programs.
    • Provide organizational consultation and problem resolution for public health agencies whose missions and programs are hindered by morale, leadership, and communication problems.           
    • Facilitate challenging meetings and conferences on public health and emergency preparedness and response issues, for communities, states, and governments, completing these within time and agenda constraints.
    • Serve as subject matter expert and information resource for programs and screenplays on specific public health and disaster scenarios.

                                                       
    Government and Community Operations

    • Guide communities and governments in effective and tailored comprehensive planning for the reintegration of veterans returning back home to the United States from Operation Iraqi Freedom (War in Iraq), Operation Enduring Freedom (War in Afghanistan), and other global wars on terrorism [see posted paper of same topic under Publications].
    • Assist government, health, and business risk managers in the evaluation and reformulation of traditional risk management programs into “positive risk management paradigm” ones [see posted paper of same topic under Publications].
    • Give psychologically-informed and innovative guidance to help communities effectively plan and redesign major physical and environmental aspects, so as to positively improve the day-to-day emotional and psychological health of all citizens, but especially for aging elderly populations, populations with special needs, and socioeconomically disadvantaged populations.
